The Usmanpura River Front garden is an extremely pleasant and calming place where people come with their friends, families and lovers. What gives this garden it's unique feature are the different scenery one can observe; you can see the factories, the bridge separating New City from Old City, the heavy traffic moving in the distance, and last but not the least, the beautiful river flowing infront of you. The garden is the best place for picnics, casual hangouts and dates as the chirping birds, blooming flowers, cool breeze, and wet grass gives the garden in overall an appealing feel. You can also go as a walker and take full advantage of the walking tracks made. I, from my personal experience, think that the ideal time to go to this garden is in the mornings and evenings when the sun is not so harsh and the sky is of magnificent colours. Another thing about going in the evening is the lightings that take place; the walking tracks, the garden lanes, the sidewalks besides the river all bright with the light of solar lights. The lights absord and con- vert enough solar energy into electrical energy to last all night long making the garden not only a sight for sore eyes but an Eco-friendly place and that is the fea- ture I love the most. I am certain that anybody who once visits this place will with- out doubt fall in love with it. Written and edited by: Nitika Amin |

Law Garden In Night
The Night Markets sell a wide array of the famous mirrorwork clothing and textiles that Gujerat is famous for. Most of the wares are made in Rahn of Kutch area. The Bead & mirror-work is all done by hand, and is quite exquisite. Long, traditional skirts are a swirl of colour. The markets line the road, and were very busy while we were there. Bargaining is expected, and the prices that I paid were very reasonable.I bought my daughter a choli, which is a short, tight midriff length blouse- and she loved it.It is covered in tiny pieces of mirror. Food & Chai stalls were busy all night, and atmosphere was festive. We saw not one western tourist on the night we were there. You should buy Mirror-work articles of clothing -handbags -shawls. Emroidered & mirrored cushion covers . |
